Central Cooling  
 


Walters Hall Central Heating and Cooling and Cook Chiller Plant are part of the university’s cooling system. In addition, the chillers in the Food Science and Environmental Science buildings are also included. Within these systems, there are a total of six (6) boilers with 34 million BTU/hour output and five chillers with a combined total of 4,675 tons of capacity. There is also one mile of chilled water distribution piping.

Refrigeration equipment, with a total capacity of 1800 tons and one mile of hot and chilled water distribution, serve the majority of the College Avenue buildings through the CAC Central Heating Plant.
