The primary responsibility of the Utilities
Plant Operations department is to provide principal utilities generation

High Temp Hot Water is made in the Co-Gen Plant
We distribute the following services:

Voltage Electrical:
primary and secondary electrical distribution wiring, meters, and monitoring
devices.
Water
and Sewer:
12 miles of storm sewers; 25 miles of sanitary sewers; 41 miles of water
mains, and fire protection systems
Compressed
Air: major
research facilities on the Busch campus are supplied with compressed air from
the central plant.
Central
Heating:
five central heating plants and 11 miles of high temperature hot water
distribution piping, some as large as 12 inches in diameter.
Central
Cooling:
district cooling systems including major centrifugal, absorption and
reciprocal chillers, distribution piping and exchangers.
