At the end of the business day, Thursday, December 24, 2009, through the
reopening on January 5, 2010, the University will be closed for normal
operations. During this period,
heating and lighting in most university buildings will be reduced to minimum
safe levels. Exceptions will be
made for those buildings containing laboratory animals, resident students,
and academic or research programs that require continuation of normal
building services.
If your department or any unit under your purview requires normal building
services during the holiday break, it is essential that a
Request
for Building Utilities Services be submitted by
Friday, Dec. 18, 2009. Click on
the link above and send the completed form to Joe Witkowski, either
electronically, at
jwitkowski@facilities.rutgers.edu, by campus mail (Joe Witkoswki,
Utilities, 6 Burrue Circle, Livingston Campus), or fax (732-445-0404)
With the increasing cost of all utilities, it is important to take advantage
of every opportunity to eliminate waste and conserve budget resources.
The holiday break presents a significant energy conservation
opportunity. You can assist us
